Nutrition and Horlicks.

A lazy Saturday afternoon and I get the invite for the Indiblogger meet conducted by Horlicks. Horlicks as a brand has always been the special drink you could get as a child. It was something similar like what kids these days have for paper-boat or other cool-drinks. I remember to steal it from the kitchen and eat because it was just so yummy and my mother won't give it to me more than twice a day. Horlicks has been with me from childhood so the event had an emotional touch attached. The event being organised at Taj was another big factor for going to it.

The event started at 5:30 and was hosted by Anoop. He welcomed us all and soon a friendly interaction and experience of various mothers began. Oh, I forgot to tell that it was Mother's day. A lot of mother's were there and we could also see few dad with kids giving their wife a time off. Most of the mom started blogging while their time off from work during the child birth.

The guest speaker for the day was Jill Castle. Jill, a childhood nutrition expert has more than 25 years of experience. She joyfully told that feeding a toddler was difficult and she has her own personal experience as a mother to vouch for it. She started the discussion with the importance of nutrient for the growth of the child and then later restricted herself to Indian scenario. She stressed how even hidden hunger is a serious problem for the kids.

Next was a session by Oman Khan. After that there was panel session with renowned doctors and nutritionist.

Next we had a quiz session. Our team gave right answers for all the questions asked.

It was a great session and learned a lot about nutrition and its importance. We got two packs of horlicks as a gift. #imuunity4growth.
